Blog Tour – Meant For Me by Sierra Cartwright

Highly trained agent Mira Araceli can hold her own in the toughest situations, but not against her secret crush, Torin Carter. She’d fallen for her Hawkeye instructor years before. With his dark Irish good looks, unshakable integrity, and haunted blue eyes, he was everything she fantasized about. Unfortunately he never even glanced at her twice.

Torin’s intense hunger for the new recruit shocked him. But as his student, the fierce and beautiful Mira was off-limits. And she was far too young and innocent for his carnal demands.

Now, when Hawkeye pairs them together for an undercover assignment, she discovers the dangerous side he was hiding. Is she strong enough to fight for their second chance? Or will the beautiful storm that is Torin Carter destroy her completely?

Mira Araceli was utterly lovely, completely captivating. He wanted to please her again and again. Her orgasm had been as loud and unrestrained as the woman herself. Her passion ran deep. She was everything he wanted. All the things that scared the hell out of him.

Worse, he planned to fuck her senseless.

Which was complete madness.

Even if they didn’t plan on it, sex would cloud their working relationship. She fired a possessive streak in him. One that should bother him.

After unfastening her wrists and rubbing the skin to help restore circulation, he helped her back into her ridiculous gown and the annoying petticoats or whatever the hell they were called. He didn’t, however, return her thong.

“Stand still,” he said, working on the frustrating number of hooks and eyes.

“Yes, Master.”

The word rocked through him. Other submissives had referred to him by the honorific, but until now, it hadn’t sent a burst of possessiveness through him. He fumbled the next hook. “Who was the goddamn idiot who thought up this outfit?”

She laughed.

“I’ll ignore your rudeness. And in future, I’ll keep you naked.” His fingers were too big for the tiny metal clasps. In frustration, he skipped a few of them. Good enough.

They needed to debrief, but when he looked at her, her deep brown eyes were clouded. She wasn’t quite back all the way.

Araceli might consider herself tough, but she’d also just had a scene. No doubt endorphins were still swimming through her system.

He grabbed his jacket from the bench, then draped the soft leather bomber over her shoulders. Only then did he feed his belt back through the loops on his jeans.

Torin picked up the leash and considered attaching it. Because of her earlier reaction, he figured they should talk about it before he compelled her to wear it. He made it into a tighter loop and stuffed it in his back pocket.

Then he scooped up his little submissive and her numerous layers of clothing.

Frantically, she kicked her legs. “Sir!”

“Settle down or I’ll toss you over my shoulder.”

“You would, too!”

“Of course.”

He carried her from the room. As he started down the stairs, she turned into him and wrapped her arms around his neck. There were ways to get her to behave without an argument.

Blog Tour ~ Rebel Cause by Cassandra Giovanni

Reese White has spent her whole life trying so hard to be perfect, that when she looks in the mirror, she doesn’t know the person staring back at her. Sure, she’s always gotten high grades and excelled academically, but she’s never put much time into herself. Now, as she heads off to college, Reese realizes she’s remained so hidden inside a book that she’s invisible to everyone, including herself.

Kellin Lake has always seen Reese, his little sister’s best friend, the beautiful girl hidden behind baggy clothes and good grades–but he’s hiding, too– even from her. Tattoos, lip piercing and lead singer in a metal band, he’s a rebel without a cause. But that’s just to the people at school. At home, he covers it all up, and he’s the boy with the angel’s voice, and a 4.0 only his parents know about.

When Reese flips the switch and takes control of her looks, they make an arrangement– pretend to be in a relationship to elevate Reese’s social status. It’s simple. Kellin helps his sister’s best friend, and Reese isn’t invisible anymore. No one falls in love. No one gets hurt. But what Reese doesn’t realize is Kellin is already in love with her.

And now things get a hell of a lot more complicated.

“So are you going to explain what all of this is about?” Lindy asks as she holds the door open for me to the mall.
“I may have asked Tyler out on a date…and he rejected me.”
And I’m insanely jealous of any girl I see your brother kissing…
Lindy is silent for a moment, and all I can hear is the sound of her heel’s clicking on the ceramic tiles and noise of my too big jeans as they drag on it.
“No shit,” Lindy replies, and I look at her bubble gum pink sweater, floral tank, and skinny jeans.
I bite my cheek before looking straight ahead. “Apparently, you’re more his type.”
“Like I’d ever go for that,” Lindy replies, her lips curling under as she sticks her tongue out. “So what is this, a makeover?”
“Exactly.”
The smile grows on Lindy’s face as she looks me over. “Are you sure you want to do this?”
I nod. “I know exactly who I am, and it’s time for me to show it.”
“So are we going for preppy?” she asks as we begin to walk again.
I shake my head. “Not at all.”
“What are we going for then?”
“I love you, Lind, but I am definitely not you,” I answer as we walk past Express and Lindy’s head stays fixed on a mannikin in a set of dark wash skinny jeans and a tight black v-neck tee. I stop, and she slams into me. “Think Kellin’s type.”
“Softcore rebel without a cause?” Lindy asks as I turn into the store and grab my size in the jeans and the smallest version of the shirt I can find.
“Exactly, except I love the music he plays,” I reply.
Lindy shakes her head at me, taking the pants and putting them back down and grabbing a smaller size. “Right, then you’ll want pants that are actually your size.”
“How do you know what size I am?” I ask.
“I’ve seen you in a bathing suit. You’re tiny beneath all that cotton.”
I take the pants from her and head into the dressing room. When I come out, Lindy has a pile of jeans for me just as skinny as the ones I’ve slipped into but in a variety of colors including a pair of ripped ones. I grab them from her hands and smile.
“Perfect,” I reply.
“Reese, you’re going to make Tyler have a heart attack,” Lindy says as she looks me up and down with the widest smile I’ve ever seen on her.
“This isn’t about Tyler,” I reply as I turn to the full-length mirror.
“Who is it about then?”
My heart stutters for a moment as Kellin’s face comes to mind. I shake my head, before looking up at the girl in the mirror and smiling. “Me.”
“If I know you well enough this shirt is going to be right up your alley,” she says, draping a black t-shirt with silver scroll and skulls over my shoulder.
I take a deep breath. “How did you know?”
Lindy shrugs. “I knew you were hiding a rebel under there; now we just need some band t-shirts.”
I turn to her. “And dye.”
“Dye?”
I nod. “And I’ll need to get contacts…and make-up.”
“We don’t want you to overdose on make-over here, Reese,” Lindy replies, chewing on the inside of her lip as I smile at her.
“I know exactly who I want to be, now are you going to help me or not?”
“Lead the way,” Lindy replies as she shakes her head with a laugh.
✬EXCERPT TWO✬
“Yeah, I’m not the ugly friend anymore,” I reply, picking at the strands of my ripped jeans.
Kellin scoffs. “You never were.”
I look up, raising my eyebrows at him. “Come on, Kell. I wasn’t pretty before.”
He shakes his head, his lips in a harsh line just like his jaw. “That’s bullshit, Ree. You’re the same girl you were before, except your clothes fit a little too good and you stopped wearing glasses.”
“Don’t forget this,” I reply tossing my hair over my shoulders, and staring at him through my bangs.
He reaches over and runs his fingers over my chin in a way that makes me inhale deeply.
Breathe, Reese. Breathe.
“I do like that color on you,” he replies, his hand falling over mine and weaving our fingers together.
“I thought you would, ” I answer without thinking, squeezing my eyes shut as I think of exactly how that sounds like I did this just to impress him.
“I’m glad you considered how I’d feel about the change.”
“You’re one of my best friends…besides Lindy, so of course I thought of what you’d think,” I explain, and Kellin’s hand pulls away from mine to go to the steering wheel.
He stares ahead, and I’m struck by the urge to take his hand back into mine again because now it feels wrong for his hand not to be there. We sit in silence until I finally speak.
“Are you mad at me?”
“Why would I be mad at you?” Kellin asks as he shifts the truck into park.
“I don’t know…you just seem angry,” I reply as I watch him squeezing the steering wheel with white knuckles.
“Not at all.”
“You sure?” I ask as he jumps out and moves the seat forward so he can grab his guitar and amplifier.
“Of course.” He slides the guitar over his back, taking the amp in one arm, so his biceps bulge as he holds out the other for me. “Ready to make an entrance?”
“Are you sure you want to do this?” I ask as I look at the already crowded venue.
“Absolutely positive.”
Being Kellin’s arm candy is strangely satisfying. Girls eyes follow us as we enter the room, and narrow on me when I kiss his cheek before he goes on stage. At the end of the show, I can feel their stares as he pulls me into his arms to hug me, and then slings his arm around my waist, tucking his hand into my front pocket.
“Guys, this is my girlfriend, Reese,” Kellin explains. “Joey Schmidt,” he nods to the screamer. “Carl Fague,” he nods to the drummer, and finally the bassist. “Johnny Temple — who you already know as Temp.”
“In other words, Schmidt, and Fague,” I fill in the blanks of how he usually refers to them.
“Exactly.” Kellin’s lips twitch as he looks at them staring at me.

Blog Tour ~ All I Ever Wanted by Karen Cimms

Book Three in the Of Love and Madness Series

Unable to overcome the loss and betrayal she’s faced, Kate Donaldson knows there’s only one way for her to heal—and that’s to walk away from everything and pick up the pieces of her shattered life.

Cutting herself off from everyone she loves, Kate settles in on the rocky coast of southern Maine. At first wanting nothing more than to be left alone, she eventually learns to deal with all of her hurts except one—Billy, her estranged husband.
But when her past comes roaring back, Kate must choose between her head and her heart.
Billy McDonald has hit rock bottom. When his wife disappears, he is forced to confront his demons. Winning that battle brings success, and for the first time in more than two decades, his music career is finally about to take off. But without Katie by his side, it’s a bitter victory.
What do you do when the thing you thought you wanted isn’t really what you wanted after all?
All I Ever Wanted is the third book in the Of Love and Madness trilogy, and the conclusion of a love story that defied the odds for twenty five years. But for Kate and Billy, it’s up to them to decide if it’s the end, or a new beginning.
✬ONE✬
Billy got Kate settled into the passenger seat, then climbed in behind the wheel and slipped the key into the ignition. She gave him a loopy smile that he felt down to his toes.
“It’s beautiful tonight. Put the top down.”
When he pointed out it might be a little too chilly, she told him to “blast the heat.”
He recognized his way back to the house, but as they neared the turn toward Cousins Island, Kate directed him to take it.
“You sure?”
“This is the scenic route,” she insisted.
They drove for a while before they came to the end of the road, looking out toward the ocean. Billy parked and cut the engine. The night smelled of wood smoke, ocean air, and the sweetness of oranges. Lights glowed on the distant horizon, and the stars overhead twinkled like diamonds on a field of black velvet.
Kate’s sigh wrapped around him like a warm honey. She tilted her face up at the sky. “Isn’t it beaut—”
He leaned across the console and kissed her. He’d taken her by surprise, but she didn’t stop him. Her lips were warm and tasted of wine. When she didn’t push him away, he kissed her again. His hand snaked up her arm and along her neck. Cradling her head, he pulled her closer, careful of the gearshift between them.
When she ran her fingers along the side of his face, he thought he might cry. Her hand dropped to his chest and gripped his shirt. Then gently, she pushed him away. He tried to see her eyes, but it was too dark. All he could hear was the gentle lapping of water against the shore and the sound of Kate’s breathing.
“Take me home.” Her voice was low and thick. “Please.”
His heart sank. His fingers thrummed nervously on the steering wheel as he navigated back to the highway. Less than ten minutes later, he was nosing her Saab into the garage.
They sat in the car as the garage door closed behind them.

“I’m sorry,” he said, wanting to remind her that she’d kissed him back. But he didn’t, he just savored the taste of wine on his tongue, not because it was wine but because it was Kate. Just as the tang of salty air was now Kate, along with the familiar scent of oranges.

TWO:
The first few days were damp and dreary. Not cold enough for snow, but cold enough for a chill to settle deep in her very core. Kate woke early the morning after Tom left. Gray light filtered through the barren branches outside her window. Pale strands of pink stained the horizon.
She dressed quickly. Together, she and Charlie descended the steep hill down to the water. She shoved her hands into the pockets of her lined jacket and stood at the edge of the steps that led to the dock. Her breath floated in tiny clouds about her face, mimicking the mist atop the water. A cormorant skittered across the glassy surface, then lifted out of the water with a great disturbance of air and headed toward the open sea. The expanse of ocean that lay before her was deserted. Empty docks lined the cove. The boats harbored there had long been removed for the winter.
A forest of dense pine ringed the inlet. At high tide, the water seemed more like a lake than a finger of the Atlantic. The rising sun illuminated a thin band of white clouds hovering above the tree line, still black against the fading darkness. Shades of orange, from palest apricot to deepest tangerine, streaked the horizon until Kate was finally forced to shield her eyes as the sun burst above the trees in a neon ball of butterscotch, blinding in its brilliance.
The imprint of the fireball was seared upon her closed lids, and despite the cold, she felt the memory of its warmth upon her face. Her senses awakened. Her lungs held the tang of the salty ocean and marshy shoreline. She heard the haunting cry of sea birds springing to life as darkness surrendered to day.
It took her by surprise, but there it was—a fleeting hint of promise. No more than a flutter, really. Her heart was heavy, and it was nearly impossible to see beyond the sadness, but somewhere deep inside, an errant ray of light squeezed its way through a tiny crack and called her name. It was gone in a blink, but she recognized it all the same: hope.
Karen Cimms was born and raised in New Jersey and still thinks of the Garden State as home. She is a journalist and lifestyle editor of a daily newspaper. She and her husband live in Northeast Pennsylvania. They have four children.

Blog Tour ~ Shameless by M. Malone & Nana Malone

I am the thing that goes bump in the night. I am a liar, a protector…a killer…I am Noah Blake.

There is only one light in my darkness, one bright ray in the storm of my life. Lucia DeMarco. And I’ll do anything for her. Anything except show her who I really am…an assassin. Well, former assassin. I don’t really do that anymore…usually.

It would be easier if she didn’t call me names. Asshole, control freak…shameless. It would also be easier if she didn’t look at me with those trusting gray eyes. If I didn’t dream about the perfect curve of her — never mind all that. The point is she’s digging into my world, my secrets, and it’s going to get her killed.

But first, we have another more immediate concern. Lucia is going on a date—With someone else…

Excerpt 1

Brent interjected. “I should probably be going.”

Lucia gripped his forearm harder. “No. Stay. Noah is going. Aren’t you Noah?”

Noah grinned, his devilish smile bringing a mischievous twinkle to his eyes. Looking at the two of them in close proximity, Lucia could see clearly that there was no competition. Noah had dark sooty lashes that framed those intense whiskey-colored eyes, high cheekbones, a straight Roman nose, and full lips that tilted crookedly when he smiled. The man was gorgeous and he knew it. Which was a problem. Because he often used it to get what he wanted.

Brent, in comparison, also had dark hair, but not as dark as Noah’s. It also didn’t fall in disarray where some parts looked styled and other parts unkempt, but mostly looking like he’d just rolled out of bed. Or he’d rolled out of bed with someone. Brent’s eyes were a pale blue. Kind. He was cute in that boy-next-door, All-American kind of way. He didn’t look like he belonged in a fashion magazine, not like Noah did.

Feeling a little uncharitable comparing Brent so unfavorably with Noah, she had to concede that he was at least tall. Not as tall as Noah, but few men could compare to Noah’s towering height. Besides it wasn’t about looks, or height, or charisma, anyway.

Annoyed with herself, Lucia closed her eyes, hoping maybe this was all a bad dream, but when she opened them again Noah was still there. With him in the room, it was hard to breathe. He dominated and sucked up all the air, silently pulling her towards him with his gravitational force alone. It was like poor Brent wasn’t even there.

“Now, Lucia, I know you’d like to think you’re in charge right now. But you’re not. You don’t know this guy. And you invited him back to your place? I thought I taught you better than that.”

Brent tried to make an escape again. “Lucia, why don’t you deal with this guy? And we’ll try this again later.”

“No. You’re not going anywhere.”

Noah pushed himself to a seated position. “Oh yes he is. Because, you and I need to discuss what the hell this is for.” He held up the party gift from the bachelorette party.

Oh no. Oh no. Oh no.

In that moment, Lucia prayed to every saint her grandmother had ever forced her to pray to. Prayed to the Virgin Mary then to Jesus. Heck, for good measure, she added Buddha in there too. Just in case. But nothing happened. The ground did not open and swallow her.

Instead, she stood with her hand on Brent’s arm, staring at Noah as he held up the largest purple dildo she’d ever seen in her life.

Brent’s mouth fell open but no sound came out. As mortified as she was, Lucia couldn’t really blame him. The stupid thing was over a foot long, and thick. Really, really thick. Like thicker than a cucumber. She’d certainly never used the thing. It was a gag gift.

“How dare you go through my things!” she squeaked.

Noah shrugged. “I didn’t go through your things. The drawer was open. The thing was practically sticking out of it. Making its escape.”

Next to her, Brent shifted his gaze to her.

“That’s not mine,” she whispered. “I m-mean it is but I’ve never used it. It’s a gag gift from a bachelorette party.” She swung her gaze to Noah. “Put that down.”

“Not a chance. I mean, this thing is fascinating. I’m no stranger to toys myself. As far as I’m concerned, they can always enhance the situation. I’m not one of those guys that feel jealous or threatened. Matter of fact, I’m all for a little solo play. But this thing.” He held it up and shook it around. “Even I’ve never seen anything like it. And I’ve had a lot of practice.”

He turned his attention to Brent. “No disrespect to you, but I don’t think you can live up to this. It vibrates and rotates! Even I feel a little frightened by this thing.”

Screw the ground opening up and swallowing her whole. Just shoot her now. That would end this quickly. Shoot her. Send her little behind to heaven. Because she was done. Noah was bending the dildo around as it wiggled in his hands. He pushed the button, and the damn thing rotated on its own, making a whirring sound. Oh God. Could this get any worse?

Brent fixed his gaze on her. “I’m going to go.”

“No, please don’t go.”

She lunged and grabbed at the dildo, tugging when Noah refused to release it. The silicone material bent in ways Lucia was sure it wasn’t intended to as they fought over it. This was easily one of the most undignified moments of her life but she just couldn’t take it anymore. Noah’s smug face as he watched her struggling to get a better grip on the wiggling, gyrating piece of plastic only made it worse.

“Ugh, let go!”

In a fit of sudden anger, Lucia kicked him in the shin. And in his surprise, Noah let go of his end of the toy. The next few seconds would forever play in her mind in slow motion as she watched the toy fly end over end and hit Brent directly in the face.

“Ouch!”

Lucia covered her mouth in horror as the toy fell to his feet. The silence that followed was only broken by the sounds of the still-running toy, wiggling over the carpet.

Noah guffawed. “My bad. Did I get it in your mouth? Don’t worry, it doesn’t mean anything. What’s a little dick in the mouth between friends, am I right?”

Build a wall.
Lock it away.
Let no one in.
Everyone should have a childhood worth remembering. Only I
remember mine for all the wrong reasons. Starting over in a new town is hard
enough. When you are running from your past, it doesn’t get any easier.
I was ready to say goodbye to the burdens I have carried. The
pain I’ve experienced is more than anyone should have to face.
Then I met him…
He takes my breath away. I can’t ignore the way he makes me
feel. I know he has the power to destroy me.
And that’s what scares me the most.

It’s a few minutes after three o’clock when I hear his pick-up
truck pull into my driveway.  After doing a quick check in the mirror, I
open the door to greet Callum.
Once again, there are no words to explain how handsome he looks
dressed casually in a black t-shirt, jeans, and his Chucks.  Taking a
minute, I let my eyes wander over his body.  Admiring the way his hair is
pulled back beneath his backward baseball cap, how the cotton showcases his
incredible chest, and his muscular arms fill out the sleeves as my eyes roam
back up to meet his stare.
His eyes are bright with amusement, appreciating how I just
blatantly checked him out.  He doesn’t even try to hide his smile.

“You ready, sweetheart, or do you need a minute for a second
look?” He chuckles.

Smart ass.

“I mean, you won’t see me objecting,” I retort, raising my eyebrow
as I flash him a smirk of my own.  I can tell by the smile on his face he
is enjoying our banter just as much as I am.
“As much as I’d love to see that delectable look of desire on your
face again, baby, I have plans for you.  C’mon!” he says, holding his hand
out, ushering me onto the porch as he takes the keys from my hand.
After he safely locks up the house, he takes my hand again and
leads me out to his truck.  Helping me into the passenger seat, he leans
over and secures the seat belt.

After double checking that I’m safely buckled in, he leans back to
meet my eyes again.   Searching my face, I wait for him to say whatever
he so clearly wants to say.  My eyes trace along his sharp jaw down to his
lips as I peer back up to him, hoping he feels this pull between us and will
finally put me out of my misery.
“There will be plenty of that later.  Just you fucking wait,”
he says as if reading my mind, grunting as he steps back down to the ground and
slams the passenger door shut.  Letting out a heavy sigh, I follow him as
he walks around to the driver’s side and quickly climbs into his seat.

Leaning over, he turns on the radio as he backs out of the
driveway.  It doesn’t take me long to realize we’re heading out of town.
The excitement sets in, wondering where he could be taking me.
“You going to tell me where we’re going or what our plans are when
we get there?” I ask, looking over at him.
For a minute, I think he is ignoring me until he looks over at me.
He smiles smugly, and I know without a doubt it’s his way of telling me,
“not a chance.”

The song changes to a tune that I know so I turn it up and settle
back into the seat with a huff, hearing him chuckle to himself.  The
lyrics of the song are about a girl teasing a man by making him want her and it
spurs something inside me.

Turning my head to Callum, I let my eyes roam over the side of his
face, down his chest to the slight bulge in his pants.  Seeing how his
body reacts to me has me fighting my own arousal.  Making the path back up
to his face, I can see his jaw clench, resisting the urge to look at me, his
eyes focusing hard on the road.
The tension in the cab of the truck has quickly changed.  The
air charged with the connection between us strong, it’s pulling us together.
Resting my elbow on the center console, I lean in closer so we are
touching, causing Callum’s arm to tense as I use my index finger of my right
hand to trace along the inside of his forearm.

That sexy fucking arm.

Leaning in closely, I release a slow breath along his jaw until my
mouth is just next to his ear.
“You look so sexy driving this truck, Callum,” I whisper softly as
I run my tongue along the shell of his ear, nipping softly on his ear lobe.
It’s an action so very unlike me, but I can’t hide the way he makes me
feel.
Slowly blinking his eyes, I watch for a second as he closes them
just before he forces them open as if forgetting where he was.  Smothering
a smile, I remove my arm from around his, leaning back against my seat.
Grunting
to himself, he quickly moves his right hand down to his lap, working to conceal
his reaction to me, grumbling,

“Just you wait, sweetheart, I’ll get you back
for that.  Just wait!”

Blog Tour ~ Bayside Desires by Melissa Foster

💙Title: Bayside Desires 💙

💙Author: Melissa Foster💙

Synopsis

Fall in love at Bayside, where sandy beaches, good friends, and true love come together in the sweet small towns of Cape Cod.

BAYSIDE SUMMERS is a series of standalone steamy romance novels featuring alpha male heroes and sexy, empowered women. They’re fun, flirty, flawed, deeply emotional, always passionate, and easy to relate to.

“With her wonderful characters and resonating emotions, Melissa Foster is a must-read author!” -NYT Bestseller Julie Kenner

“Melissa Foster is synonymous with sexy, swoony, heartfelt romance!” -NYT Bestseller Lauren Blakely

In Bayside Desires…
As the co-owner of Bayside Resorts, Rick Savage has a fabulous job working with his best friends and brother, and a thriving business in Washington, DC, which he’ll be returning to at the end of the summer. Spending time with his family is great, but being back on Cape Cod has unearthed painful memories. When sweet, smart, and overly cautious Desiree Cleary moves in next door, Rick is drawn to the sexy preschool teacher, and she just might prove to be the perfect distraction.

Running an art gallery was not in preschool teacher Desiree Cleary’s plans, but after being tricked into coming to her impetuous, unreliable mother’s aid, she’s stuck spending the summer with the badass half sister she barely knows and a misbehaving dog. If that’s not frustrating enough, she can’t escape the sparks igniting with her strikingly handsome and pushy neighbor, Rick, who makes all her warning bells go off.

Passion ignites as Desiree and Rick spend long summer nights sharing heartfelt confessions and steamy kisses. For the first time in years Rick is enjoying life again instead of hiding behind mounds of work miles away from his family. Desiree has touched him in a way that makes him want to slow down. Only slowing down means dealing with his demons, and he isn’t sure who he’ll be when he comes out the other side.

All Bayside books can be read as standalone novels or as part of the series:

Quick Fix by Ashley Suzanne

I had it all… a job I loved, a home I built and a husband who couldn’t keep it in his pants. After months of storing up evidence of his infidelity, I finally grew a pair and filed for divorce, ensuring I got everything. This isn’t about me being vindictive, it’s about getting my fair share. I put in much more than he ever did.

On a night out with my best friend to celebrate the sudden loss of two hundred pounds of dead weight, I met a much younger guy, Tanner, who made me feel things my pathetic excuse of an ex-husband ever did… ever.

I wasn’t looking for more than one night, and that’s all Tanner promised. I can tell you this, even with my lack of experience, not all men are created equal. Some just have… more. I may not be the youngest model in the showroom, but Tanner made sure to remind me that I was just as sexy as I was in my youth.

We all need something to get us through, and Tanner was my quick fix.

Before I know it, Tanner’s standing and wrapping my legs around his waist. He doesn’t move very far before setting me back on my feet.

“Turn around,” he commands. I do as he says—placing my back to his front. I expect him to push against me, but all I feel is the cool air between us, driving me crazy. Tanner takes foreplay to a whole new level—we’re quickly approaching fiveplay.

Blog Tour ~ Two Weeks To Life (Fated Soulmates Series) by John Charles

#OnTour Two Weeks to Life by 👉 John Charles #MMRomance is #LIVE #OneClick today

♣Title: Two Weeks to Life♣

♣Series: Fated Soulmates♣

♣Author: John Charles♣

♣Genre: M/M Romance♣

♣Release Date: March 15, 2017 ♣

After thirty years on the force, Detective Carl Bellwin thought he’d seen it all. He had developed a protective shield around himself, keeping the rape, murder, drugs, and other crimes compartmentalized and away from his emotions. He didn’t have time to date, didn’t have time to socialize, and didn’t have time for hobbies. The force was his life, but his protective shield was crumbling.
An innocent girl was missing. Her single mother grieved, wondering if she would be planning a funeral. The seedy part of Clarkesburgh had become the hunting ground for a gang that kidnapped teens off the street, forced retailers to launder money and sell their drugs, and victimized anyone who stood in their way. Carl, at whits end, had no leads.
Elijah Quinta traded one high stress job for another. Purchasing a bankrupt Inn and developing it into a five star resort became more than his full time job: The Bliss Inn became his life. Though he tried, anyone he dated accused him of having a mistress. They were right; he was married to the inn.
Carl never thought attending his nephew’s wedding would change his life. For the first time, he realized what he was missing. Everything he thought was important faded into the background. When he met Elijah, Carl’s life took on a new meaning.
Could he turn Two Weeks To Life? Could he let go of the only world he had ever known?

“Another missing girl? What is that, four in as many months?” Detective Carlin Bellwin, Carl to everyone except his mother, asked Fran, his partner. “How do these kids disappear without a trace?” His frustration clearly evident in his voice and the sour look on his face. “Meet you at the car in five. Just need to get rid of that cup of coffee.”

Carl was a career detective who knew his way around Clarkesburgh and the criminal population that infested his city. He had a hard-on for anyone who hurt a kid, sold drugs, or took advantage of the elderly. Snatching a girl off the streets was one of the worst things for him. Prostitution rings were notorious for the cavalier manner in which they corrupted young boys and girls, but snatching and selling them into prostitution was one thing he could not tolerate.
Fran was in her usual spot, behind the wheel of their unmarked Ford reading over the missing person report. She looked almost as young as the girl in the file did. As the passenger door opened, she could feel the strength of the man who trained her and chose her as his partner, fold his tall frame into the seat next to her.
Clarkesburgh was a city with over half million people living within its borders. When the influx of working commuters was counted, that number increased to over three quarters of a million people. Though not as big as some neighboring cities, Clarkesburgh attracted its share of criminals, thugs, prostitutes, and drug dealers.
Carl made sure Fran understood why she was a detective. “There are people out there who think nothing of hurting others to better their own lives. It’s our job to make sure that doesn’t happen and whenever it does, to put these guys away so they can’t do it again. Stay alert, ask lots of questions, and never turn your back on anyone. That may be the last time you do.”
“What do we know?” asked Carl as he looked over the file Fran handed him.
“Only what’s in the file. White, 16 years old, good student, works part time to help support the family, never in trouble before, no drugs, no record of any kind.” She pulled away from the station, heading to the girl’s home. She knew the drill, question the parents, find a reason for the girl to go missing. Then trace her steps for the past few days. Talk to teachers, friends, her boss at the dry cleaning store where she worked. She also knew they would come up empty handed. Everyone will say they had no idea what could have happened to her. Then the real work would begin.
“You never told me who was getting married,” said Fran as she drove.
“My nephew Trent. He and his partner decided to go all the way and tie the knot.” Carl leaned his head back for a rare minute of personal thought. Trent had moved to a suburb of L.A. to take a residency in emergency medicine at Lake Community Hospital. When a position at Amity General had become vacant, he applied and was hired. He moved back for the job almost two years ago.
“Isn’t he the one who was shot by that lunatic?” Asked Fran looking at her partner. “If I remember what you told me, he was having dinner with his boy friend and his kids when a man shot him.”
Trent was openly gay. He had the self-confidence rarely found in a young gay man and the body to support that confidence. When the homophobic father of the paramedic he was dating tried to shoot the man’s two kids, Trent’s quick actions saved their lives. Unfortunately, he was shot in the process.
“Yeah, that’s the one. The bullet did a ton of damage but everything seems fine now.”
“You’ve been looking forward to this ever since you got the invitation. Why are you only staying the weekend? God knows, you have the accrued time. Why don’t you take a week or two and have some fun with the family?”
Carl gave Fran his ‘are you kidding me’ look. “What would I do for a week with my family? We talk all the time, so all the catching up will be done in an hour. What would I do for the rest of the week?”
“Relax, go out to dinner with friends, find a hot guy and get laid. You know, all the stuff normal people do on vacation,” laughed Fran as she pulled the car up to the curb. The house was typical for this area of Clarkesburgh. It might have been a hundred years old, but looked well kept. Painted white with black shutters adjacent to the windows, the house looked as if the owners cared. The small lawn was recently cut and the gardens were free of weeds.
Carl took the file and his notebook as he and Fran walked to the door of the small house. It was refreshing to be in one of the nicer parts of town. Most of their work had them in the seedy, drug infested, gang hoods. But Carl didn’t like this situation at all. A girl was missing and most likely, the parents were frantic with worry and fear.
Two officers, already on scene, acknowledged them as they approached the front door. “The parents inside?” asked Carl. One officer nodded and stepped aside to let Carl and Fran enter the home.
A little more than an hour later Carl and Fran walked back to their car. The girl’s mother didn’t stop crying long enough for any intelligent discussion. She was a single mother raising two kids on her own. The father vacated the scene years ago, provided no support either financially or in person. Not unusual for the city they worked in.
A neighbor was more help telling the detectives about the girl’s schedule, hobbies, and other tidbits of information. Fran took copious notes as Carl asked questions.
At one point, when the mother stopped crying, Fran asked, “Does your daughter date anyone?” Both women in the room shook their heads. Fran didn’t let them know her thoughts about how squeaky clean this girl seemed. ‘She’s just too clean.’
“We’ll be in contact with you if we need any further information,” said Carl as he and Fran left the home. The two uniformed officers had already returned to their normal duties. While it might seem cruel, there was too much to do and too few officers to do it, so the ladies were left to their grief.
“Something’s not right,” said Fran as she started the car. “They know something and are afraid to tell us.” They drove in silence, each digesting the information they had just received. “Who will I be partnered with?”
The question brought Carl from his thoughts. He didn’t want to leave Fran alone, especially on a case like this, so he asked Captain Syverson to assign another detective to her while he was at Trent’s wedding. “Syverson will let you know tomorrow. Today you’re stuck with me, at least until I leave.”
They pulled up to the drycleaners and parked. Fran looked around as if trying to spot the criminal. Carl sat in silence, letting the vibe of the area sink into his bones. “I don’t like this. There are too few people on the street, so stay sharp.” He extricated his large frame from the car, keeping his free hand on the revolver holstered under his jacket.
The store was located in a less then friendly part of town. Years prior, this store probably had an upscale clientele, but the neighborhood declined as the more affluent moved away. Now the store probably provided the owner with a meager living at best. Fran rounded the car joining him as they entered the store.
An older, frail man stood behind the counter. His eyes grew wide as Fran showed her badge. “What is this about? I run a clean business here.”
As with the others, he had no real information. The girl, Nadia, was nice to his customers, did her job well, and never caused any trouble. He seemed genuinely upset that she was missing. His frown said more than his words.
Fran had always been impressed with Carl’s manner of questioning witnesses and suspects. He seemed not only compassionate, but genuinely concerned. Even suspects felt at ease around him. For a big man, he had an inner teddy bear that came out at the most perfect of times. “It seems that you know more than you are sharing with us, sir. Might that be because you, too, are afraid?”
The man seemed to wither deeper into his already withered skin. Shaking his head, he said, “I’m an old man and just want to live long enough to see my grandchildren. Please you must leave now.” Carl nodded and left with Fran in tow.
“He is scared out of his whits,” said Carl as Fran drove away. “You need to make sure nothing happens to him. Let’s get back to the station. I hate to leave you on this one, but I have to get a move on.”
“How long is the drive to Amity from here?”
“I’m staying in Monroe at the place Trent and Matthew reserved for out of towners. If I leave as soon as we get back, I should be there by 10 or so. Not looking forward to the drive, but I can’t wait to see Trent walk down the aisle.”
“You deserve as much. Are you just a bit jealous?”
Carl thought through that question. He had met two people in his life that could have become his lifelong partner, but neither could tolerate his hours. Both complained that he was always being called away, that they didn’t have any together life, and they couldn’t live like that. After the last episode ended over ten years prior, he decided to go it alone – at least until he retired. Then he could find that someone special and settle down.
“Sometimes it does bother me, but I made my decision and I’m not budging. After I retire, and only then, will I allow a man to get under my skin again.”
Larry Thomas aka John Charles spent his youth struggling with reading. Not until his late teens did he discover the cause – dyslexia. Only then, with guidance and professional help, did he learn to read. From that point forward, he discovered his love for the printed word.

Ironically, as a father reading to his children his desire to write was born. Reading to his children was a nightly ritual. “I wanted them to fall in love with books.”

Writing was always part of his professional career, but not until he retired did he move from creating marketing and technical materials to writing novels. Now, as a full-time author, Larry writes Romance / Mystery / Thrillers using the pseudonym John Charles.

His books can be found on Amazon and wherever e-books are sold.

Jessika Kilde writes amazing romance, there is a heat and passion to her stories that are so good, they hook you in and means you can’t put the book down.” ~5 Star Goodreads Review (Sara)

I reach inside my jacket for my gun, but a heavy hand grabs my arm with steely force before I feel the cool metal of my security. I glance down to look at the hand before I try to snatch my arm away. It has a skull and cross bones ring with rubies for the eyes. Perfect! A bonafide Badass! I lift my foot a few inches, then stomp my heel on the asshole’s boot at the same time I jerk my arm away. My heel slides off the heavy leather without harm and the grip only tightens. I look up to see who is laughing at me, but he is wearing a black hoodie and his face is hidden.
“You Son Of A Bitch!” I spit. “Get your fucking hand off me!” My hair fans out as I try to shake him off.
A deep, low, menacing chuckle is the only response I get. Then I see the knife.

Jessika Klide burst onto the romance scene in 2014 with her bestselling series, Siri’s Saga. It has steadily risen to the top of Amazon’s erotic romance list and has made her a favorite among fans who enjoy full length novels.

Whether it’s Army, Navy, Air Force or Marines, military men make her swoon. Her alpha male hunks are heroes who they fall for her confident, smart, and sexy heroines. She believes in modern day fairy tales where love and lust form perfect unions, and the stars do align for true love. She also guarantees more than one happy ending.

She is fun and flirty like the heroines she writes.
